Schoolyard Crush - A Brand New Release and a Limited Edition drop!

Our second drop of 2025, Schoolyard Crush (High School Sweetheart [Gage Green Genetics] x Sour Stomper), is our little homage to our mainstay Sour Stomper. Part of our first Artisanal Automatic release way back in 2016, Sour Stomper has become synonymous with Mephisto Genetics and is one of those strains, along with Double Grape, that has reached almost mythical status. We’ve been long-term admirers of the work of Gage Green Group’s Genetics, not only because of their contribution to the photoperiod parentage (Grape Stomper OG) to Sour Stomper, but also, along with a whole host of other fire strains, their standout High School Sweetheart. 

Along with Schoolyard Crush, we also have a selection of F1 Limited Editions dropping too! The drop is scheduled for the 10th of February at 1pm EU, 12pm UK, 7am Eastern, 4am Pacific. 

Let’s dig straight into things with a little excerpt of the strain-description:

When the chance came to give a proper nod to both Sour Stomper and the legends at GGG, we didn’t hesitate. Our vision was clear, take an already sought-after, highly regarded elite photoperiod and push it to the next level. 

We first acquired our High School Sweetheart seed stock in 2018. The F0 run took place in 2019, followed by the F1 run in 2021. During each selection, we prioritised extreme frost levels, ensuring the resin production was second to none. Bud structure was another key factor, allowing us to retain the distinct growth profile of the photoperiod parent while adapting it into an auto form. We also worked to bring forward a unique and standout flavour that would make this strain instantly recognisable.

The decision to pair Sour Stomper with High School Sweetheart wasn’t just about lineage—it was about legacy. With GGG at the heart of both parent strains, this project felt like the perfect way to honour some of the finest photoperiod genetics in the game.

Once cured, School Yard Crush comes alive with a punchy, fruit-laced aroma, with some sweet, smokey BBQ flavours added into the mix. For those with a sweet tooth, this one ticks all the boxes. She’s easy to manage, highly rewarding, and an absolute flavour bomb. A New Limited Edition Drop, a free strain and an early-adopter discount!

Along with Schoolyard Crush, we’re also introducing a brand new lineup of Limited Editions. A little explanation for those just getting on board the Mephisto train: Originally the Mephisto Genetics Limited Edition line was intended to be a genuine once-and-done Limited Edition offering, which back in the day could have been seeds just from one plant, however, as our little company has grown and evolved over the years so did the line and the methodology behind it. As demand grew and we wanted to get these gems into more customers' hands, Limiteds became a further worked strain, taken to F3 with more seeds available. However, we’ve switched up our breeding processes for this new format whereby we’ll release our brand new strain with carefully selected standout hybrids to accompany them.

Expect a bushy, medium-sized powerhouse that throws down massive spear-like colas drenched in frost. She hits hard with a bold chem-heavy aroma, backed by a zesty citrus twist that lingers well past the cure. Early on, she’s a bit sensitive to nutrients, but once in flower, she’s a hungry beast, producing dense, resin-soaked buds and a potent, well-rounded effect.

Sweetness with some earthy undertones, expect a mid-sized plant with dense budsites covering her branches. An all-rounder with decent potency and a good daily driver of a smoke.

Iced 'n' Baked x Schoolyard Crush
High School Yummies is a medium-sized, bushy beast that stacks up multiple chunky colas, dripping in frost. She’s an absolute terp bomb, blasting out a rich, sweet cherry dessert aroma with a loud, lingering finish. Easy to grow and a dream to trim, she delivers a smooth, moreish smoke with an uplifting and long-lasting high.

Expect dense, resin-coated buds and a potent, balanced high that’s perfect for any time of day. The aroma offers a sweet, fruity profile with rich vanilla and berry notes, complemented by earthy undertones. Expect an easy-to-manage plant that responds well to training.

Do-si-delirium x Schoolyard Crush
Expect more citrus notes to shine though, a relaxing high with a mellow body buzz and uplifting cerebral stimulation. An intermediate strain to grow, with a little training required to get the most out of her. 

One Night Stan'd
Mephisto's Wedding x Schoolyard Crush
One Night Stan'd is a medium-sized autoflower with loud, evolving terps that start with a berry yoghurt aroma and develop into a smooth blackberry-vanilla blend. This strain hits hard with a potent, body-focused high that’s perfect for evening use, offering great pain relief and appetite stimulation. While not as pungent at first, the aroma really comes to life when busted up, revealing a chem-forward profile with hints of citrus and gas. She’s a bushier plant, with a bit of defoliation throughout required to help her bulk up. She’ll frost up early, with tropical fruit, sugary sweetness, citrus and fuel filling your grow space. Expect a more cerebral high, she’s uplifting and a great smoke for social situations. 

Pop Tart OG
Jammy Dodgers x Schoolyard Crush
Pop Tart OG is a short and stout stunner, packing thick, dense, soda-can-sized nugs with a unique, smoky-sweet barbecue aroma laced with pine, mint, and gas. She’s a strong hybrid through and through—hitting hard with a heavy-eyed head high, deep relaxation, and a touch of couch-lock. Small but mighty, she responds well to training, stacking up multiple chunky colas while keeping that signature Mephisto frost on full display.
