Brand new Mephisto Artisanal strain - Iced 'n' Baked (+ a bunch more strains!)

First up, It’s with great delight that we can finally announce the upcoming release of the first of our new ménage of Gelato based Artisanal strains, premiering with Iced ‘n’ Baked F4 (Mephisto’s Wedding x Gelato #41 (Sunset Sherbert x Thin Mint GSC)).

Over the last few years we combed through countless seed offerings and legit cuttings from many sources, testing and combining our favourites with the most complimentary strains from our Mephisto Genetics stable on a long sweet creamy quest to deliver the best take possible on a genuine high-quality version of the legendary Gelato lines in automatic form.

Here’s an excerpt from the upcoming strain description:

‘We here at Mephisto have decided to embark on releasing auto versions of our favourite three Gelato phenotypes - #33, #41 & #45. Gelato #41 (aka Bacio) has arguably become the most popular of all the phenotypes, a well-balanced hybrid strain with extreme trichome coverage, dense flowers with purple highlights, and the perfect blend of creamy, gassy, and candy flavours. And although all of the Gelato phenotypes share some commonalities (dense flowers glistening in trichomes with a complex mixture of aromas of gas, cookie, and candy), we’ve paired each of our selections with a standout Mephisto strain to bring a bit of mountain and lightning to the Gelato world.

To produce Iced ‘n’ Baked, the beginning of the recipe was to acquire the legit #41 out of the Bay Area - having shared cookies heritage we opted to pair her with Mephisto’s Wedding and grew out a vast number of our breeding stock selection. From that batch we pollinated only the best examples of Mephisto’s Wedding that displayed the exact traits we were looking for with reversed Gelato #41 pollen; we selected only the top-tier examples that had dense, purple flowers that reeked of cake and funk. ’

Along with the Iced ‘n’ Baked release taking centre stage, this is also the first full release to feature our new and refreshed Limited Edition format.

Originally the Mephisto Genetics Limited Edition line was intended to be a genuine once-and-done Limited Edition offering, which back in the day could have been seeds just from one plant, however as our little company has grown and evolved over the years so did the line and the methodology behind it. As demand grew and we wanted to get these gems into more customers' hands, Limiteds became a further worked strain, taken to F3 with more seeds available. However, we’ve switched up our breeding processes for this new format whereby we’ll release our brand new Artisanal strain with carefully selected standout hybrids to accompany them.
